Derryn has returned to racing in slick form this time and remains and outright $3.20 favourite in 2016 Up And Coming Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Trialling well in the lead-up to his competitive debut, Derryn stamped himself as a colt to follow with a credible performance for sixth in the Listed Festival Of Racing 1000 (1000m) on March 5th.

Having resumed this time for success in the Brian Reckas Handicap (1000m) on July 30th, the Hinchinbrook colt will leave from barrier 7 in the Up And Coming Stakes and will be partnered by in-form hoop Tim Clark.

Thronum is yet to receive much attention in 2016 Up And Coming Stakes betting markets, but arguably offers punters the best value for money as a $4 sole occupant of the second line.

Debuting to racing for success in the Riley O’Shea Go Go’s Maiden (1000m) at Kembla Grange (1000m) on June 25th, Thronum repeated the dose in the TAB Rewards Handicap (1200m) a fortnight later.

Running second to Tango Rain in the 70th Birthday Martin King Handicap (1200m) on July 23rd, the Snitzel colt returned to winning form with a strong performance for success in the Listed The Rosebud (1200m) a fortnight ago.

James McDonald will take the ride on Thronum this weekend, who could receive the run of the race from barrier 6.

Team Hawkes are thrilled with the condition of Divine Prophet and the colt has continued to herald plenty of interest in 2016 Up And Coming Stakes betting markets; cutting into $4.40 third-favouritism and registering as clear market mover, after opening at $5 odds.

Posting a maiden win in only his second career start, Divine Prophet returned to racing after finishing third in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) on April 16th.

Taj Mahal ($7.50) and Prized Icon ($8.50) interestingly figure as the only other runners currently available at 2016 Up And Coming Stakes odds of less-than $10.
